SA businesses benefit from ICN Energy Expo

Following the success of the inaugural Energy Efficiency Expo last year, ICN SA has once again partnered with the Government of South Australia to bring the event back in 2018.

To be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Wednesday 22 August 2018, the Expo is open to everyone and will particularly benefit business and building owners, facility managers, operation managers, property managers and businesses seeking to implement recommendations from energy productivity audits, including how these can be financed.

Last year’s event attracted more than 450 delegates and 47 exhibitors. Attendees heard from a range of speakers including SA Chamber of Mines and Energy CEO Rebecca Knol as well as co-founder of Planet Ark, John Dee.

ICN SA Manager Bettina Venner said the expo was seeded from a ‘desire to connect companies undergoing an energy productivity audit with relevant South Australian suppliers’.

‘We used the term “energy efficiency” for this expo because we felt most people would understand it, she said.

‘Energy productivity would have also been a good term to use, as energy efficiency means using less energy, while energy productivity means doing more using the same or less energy.’

The expo will provide an opportunity to showcase how local firms are leading the way with energy-efficiency products and services – everything from solar cells to advanced air conditioning systems.
