ICN NT has expanded to include a Katherine-based industry adviser to ensure businesses in the region can take advantage of local opportunities.

Colin Abbott moved to Katherine with his family “in search of adventure” and has not been disappointed.

His career has spanned telecommunications, vocational education and local government sectors, giving him a breadth of experience that includes management, stakeholder management, business planning, international and domestic business development and marketing.

“I am passionate about working with businesses to problem solve and develop sustainable solutions for growth, amongst other things,” he said.

Appointed in May 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, he has found his feet with the help of the teams in Darwin and Alice Springs.

“I have been busy making contact with businesses in the Katherine region to introduce myself, and to help me gain a better understanding of local businesses. This has been an ideal platform to identify ways in which ICN can support industry in and around Katherine.

“ICN has an exciting suite of tools designed to assist business and I am looking forward to working with all ICN registered companies and maximising the opportunities for their organisation.”
